How Do I Stop My Cutting Plates From Warping ?

This probably goes without saying, but warped cutting plates will not lay flat. When you're putting together your sandwich' of materials to run through your machine and trying to get a die to lie perfectly around a stamped image, it's critical that it stays put. Warped plates indicate that the die will not stay in place. You're irritated because your die won't stay in place.

Before delving into the many types of wood warping, it's critical to understand what causes wood to change shape. The link between moisture content and relative humidity of the surrounding air is the primary cause of wood swelling and shrinking.

Over time, a worn-out cutting plate will be warped, etched, and may even crack. Replace the cutting plate promptly if it cracks or breaks to avoid damaging the die-cutting machine. They can still be utilised if they warp or etch.
